Jars was founded in Provence by Pierre Jars 150 years ago. His creative vision was to turn everyday objects into works of art and transform the functional into beautiful.
This artistic vision has been carried out by 4 generations.
Today his grandsons create products, guided by designer Pierre Casenove, that are unique and adapted to a contemporary lifestyle. The golden rule of the French firm is to combine state of the art technology and traditional craftsmanship.
The clay is poured into hand designed molds. The pieces are all hand finished with a sponge and a knife then dried and enameled by immersion. Natural pigments are used throughout all their products. The enamel is transformed by firing the ceramics several times in a 1300° F Kiln. The process is complex and a work of passion that involves emotion, unique color and the guarantee of quality, comfort and durability.
All Jars products are microwave and dishwasher safe. They are also led and cadmium free.
