Saint-Roch is a textile mill founded in 1957 under the name of Durand. The current name appeared
in 1990 when the company launched a luxury line marketed under the name Saint-Roch.
Specializing in very fine French linens, the company is part of the prestigious history of the textile industry in France. It is located near Lyon, an area known for its many textile mills which was part of the Silk Road in the Middle-Age
In 1998 the company started a new strategy by specializing in high-end linens and framed tablecloths using the Jacquard technique which was invented in Lyon in the 19th Century. At the same time Saint-Roch dramatically increased its exports to the rest of Europe and the United States.
The company tolerates no compromise in the choice of its yarns. Creative in its designs, Saint Roch is famous for the stylishness and shimmering elegance of its colors. All products are woven with long Egyptian cotton fibers, unequalled for their quality and incomparable softness. The white thread is first bought to the dyer's workshop located in the North of France, another historical textile region. They are then brought to the company's factory where they are woven on Jacquard weaving looms.
Saint-Roch was awarded a Quality gold medal in 1989.
