TISSAGE MOUTET

Founded in 1913 this family owned weaving company has a greatly evolved history. Originally specialized in the type of fabric called mante à boeufs which was created to protect working cattle from insects, Tissage Moutet became an industrial company in the 1960's and started weaving table linens using the Jacquard technique.

After an economical crisis in the 1990's, the company decided of a new strategy: to apply artistic creations to high-end textile. Tissage Moutet is now famous for renewing its collections all the time and using popular themes such as poetry, animals, flowers or kitchen accessories.

Therefore Tissage Moutet can be easily identified by its specific patterns, colors and styles, created by famous French and foreign designers, such as Hilton McConnico or Manuel Canovas. A style is born!

Tissage Moutet exports about 25% of its production abroad.

Care instructions:

All Moutet linens are machine washable at 140°F. Use softeners moderately as they reduce the fabric's absorbency. For that reason avoid fabric softeners when washing tea towels.
Expect 5 to 7% shrinkage.
Take the linens rapidly out of the washing machine so that they form less wrinkles.
It is better to let them dry naturally although they can be machine-dried at a normal temperature.
